Keystone Club

Keeping Every Youth Strongly Toned On a National Excellence

Keystone has been part of the Boys & Girls Club movement since 1960. The Keystone Program develops leadership skills and encourages responsibility among teen Club members. In 1968, nearly 300 Keystone delegates attended the first National Conference in Chicago. Since 1995, “keystoning” has had generous support of the Taco Bell Foundation. The history of the Keystone movement is a living legacy to all those who have contributed to building this teen leadership and service program.

Keystone has six core program areas:

Service to Club and Community
Keystoners receive the opportunity to provide service towards the Boys and Girls Club and community. Teaching Keystoners problem-solving skills and citizenship and builds positive attitudes for a successful future.

Education and Career
Keystoners have the opportunities to explore vocational resources, colleges and job fairs helping them in making informed career choices.

Free Enterprise
Keystoners explore the opportunity of having their own business. By learning from business owners and accountants, teens receive the fundamentals needed to start a business.

Social Recreation
Keystoners plan and implement their activities with teens in the Club and other Clubs in the county.

Unity
Keystoners work with other Keystone Clubs in special events and projects in the community.

Leadership Development
Keystoners develop their leadership skills by being part of Club programs and helping younger members in areas such as tutoring, life skills and toastmasters.
